Maharajkumar Shri Oberyn Martell was the youngest of the princely Martell family, ten years younger than his eldest surviving brother, Raja Doran Martell. His two elder brothers, Mors and Olyvar, died before he and his sister, Elia, were born. As was typical of many Indian princes, Oberyn, like Doran before him, was sent abroad to study in England. However, he extended his personal education by touring the world on his family’s riches, starting in Europe, even going as far as the Americas.

Does magic exist in this AU? That is to say, obviously we’re in a very different setting from the one presented in the books. But are there still shadow-priests, only with Gnostic rather than R’hllorian trappings? Do dragon eggs lurk in Daenerys Targaryen’s snakeskin handbag? Are dead people up north in Leeds in danger of coming back to life?

Tyene Sand → Taken
Sister Tyene is a philanthropic officer with the Salvation Army, recently stationed at the East London Christian Mission. Sweet and beautiful, she’s often seen proselytizing or feeding the homeless. Anyone who did a bit of digging would find that she’s actually Tyene Sand, the illegitimate daughter of Indian prince Oberyn Martell and a British missionary who did work in Bombay. Upon Martell’s recent death in London under mysterious circumstances, Tyene has accompanied her half-sister Nymeria to investigate what both are certain was a murder. While she may smile more sweetly than her sister, there’s something sinister behind her eyes. Those involved in espionage may be familiar with her reputation as an apothecary and alleged assassin.
